Our Story

Avalon gifts is a locally owned family business, started in Northern Minnesota by a mother-daughter duo who share a love of crafting and creating. We started several years ago with the desire to bring our hand-made penny rugs to local craft shows. Then one Christmas, Santa brought a brand new Cricut machine and the rest, so they say, was history. We began booking more shows and making a bigger variety of items, and each show brought a discussion about what we could do different or better. Around 2021 we realized that our product line had taken a decidedly 'Geeky' turn and we felt compelled to follow our personal yellow brick road. These days we primarily make items that are pop-culture inspired, generally from our own personal favorite fandoms, in a wide variety of mediums.
